Reading about dos and don’ts of online casino bonuses, you probably accepted a handout and you are wondering if it was the best for you, or you are about to receive your first extra. These amounts of extra cash are very attractive and can easily blind you to make hasty decisions that may come to haunt you throughout you gambling career. To get the best out of these handouts, you got to be smart and very critical in your judgment. Here are some key points to consider, from a critical perspective, while going for that free money.

The bonus and your plan

Some bonuses would dictate that you stick to a strict gambling schedule that may be so much different from the original gambling plan you had put in place. Think about it, how much risk are you exposing yourself to and is the extra free cash enough to cover any failures that may arise if things go wrong just due to change of tactics. A good bonus should challenge you but at the same reward you in the same proportion.

Know what to expect.

There’s an average amount on cash that every online casino would offer. If the money is way below the average then you are probably being taken for a ride and taking such an offer would be benefitting the other party and not you. On the other side, if the money is way above the average amount then you should also be careful. What if there are hidden costs like monthly increments? The deal might just be too good, so clearly better thinking and analysis are required to get the best of it.

When thinking carefully through the bonuses on offer by each and every online casino you might come across, like poker.ladbrokes.com be careful not to ruin your best chance of earning cool extra cash by forming opinions that don’t exist. Thinking should just enable you to be prepared for anything.

Can someone please explain to me the ending of rounder’s mike has 10000 loaned to him by his professor, he doubles that against teddy kgb, then doubles it again to make 40000, how does he have 30000 after paying back the 15 he owes, repaying the professor 10, and 6 to the chesterfield.. That makes 9 grand for himself, i don’t get it. Also another thing i noticed about the movie is that mike suddenly got a car to drive to the taj andBinghamton… How did that happen???

Answer 1:

I’m pretty sure that you can rent cars in NYC. As far as the money goes, I’m not sure but I think he says “I’m right back where I started”, meaning that he has the 15 grand he had at the beginning of the movie. He lost 30 or so grand to KGB in the nines full vs. aces full but he had won 15 of that that night. I’m not sure, but I’m certain that it’s unimportant.

Answer 2:

After he doubles his 10K, they continue to play and it is no longer a freeze out. They double the blinds and he tells KGB “feel free to reload” When it is over Mike says in one of those internal monologues that he “turned his 10K into 60K” so he paid off the professor, the debt to KGB and theChesterfieldand had 30K left.

Answer 3:

One — the final game in Rounder’s is not shown in “real time”. Mike tells Teddy to feel free to reload at any time, so we have to assume that Teddy rebought in one time that we don’t see. Two. As I understand it, there are many companies that will rent a person an automobile. This is a new kind of company and perhaps they don’t have them where you are.

I’m leaving for Vegas on Saturday, and would like to play poker…and not lose my trip money. I play HE regularly around here (iowa) but would like to play casino poker while I’m out there. Since I’m new to the Casino game, I could like to stay away from high limit/rock garden games. Is there any place that spread low limit… and doesn’t attract the locals? I heard the El Cortez spreads a $1-3 game ’round the clock. Is this true? I also heard the Flamingo’s room is a touristy hangout also. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Answer 1:

El Cortez is very smoky ,dingy, and can be a rock garden (even at 1-3 limit) Keep this in mind if you decide to play there. My experience has been that no matter where you play inLas Vegas, you can’t guarantee how many locals will be at your table. A good rule of thumb is to play primarily on the strip.

Answer 2:

Luxorjust next door, but get there by 10-10:30 to sign up. I was just there last weekend and was only able to play the noon tourney on Monday, got there at 11:00 on the button and the last guy had JUST signed up. I was in Vegas last weekend too. The best $20 I spent the entire time was on the noon tournament at theLuxor. (Actually $22 to get an extra $50 in tournament chips.) I’m just sorry that I didn’t make it a point to get to it every day. I also liked theLuxorin general. The 1-4-8-8 game wa a lot of fun, and not too rocky. If you play the low limits, be ready to play no fold em hold em. I actually liked the action better at the 10-20 at the Mirage. I tried to find a 5-10 but couldn’t.

Answer 3:

But big rake and jack ploy rake too. Forget it and go to Bellagio, mirage, or binions unless you don’t mind giving 3 or 4 bb per hour to the casinos. And if the play is tight-I mean really tight (which thank God it seldom is) forget these too.

I will be in phoenix this week and want to know of best place for 5-10 he game? Might be a dumb question but there are no places to play out here in nc,

Answer 1:

Check pokerpages.com, cardplayer.com, gocee.com/poker all these have card room listings. Personally, I have only played at CasinoArizona, Indian Bend and found the experience very enjoyable. You won’t be hurting for games. There are several other card rooms, Fort McDowell, Gila River, Harrah’s(I think they have a room)all within what I will describe as the general metro area.

Answer 2:

I don’t know of a 5-10 game. There are 4-8 games with a full kill. Sometimes you’ll find a 6-12 at CasinoArizona.

Answer 3:

Hold em is exactly what is played here in Phx. These players seem to hold them cards a lot longer than most. CasinoArizonahas 3/6, 4/8 and 10/20 holdem.Gila Riverhas 3/6, 4/8 and 6/12 holdem.

The game isOmahahi/lo, structured as a $2-$6 range game with a single $2 blind. Here’s what happened. Dealer puts the flop out; there are 5 players in the pot. The first player goes all-in for $1, the second player says raise and puts out $7. The dealer gives the second player $1 back and informs him that he may make it $6 as the $1 all-in is not a legal bet and that it could not be raised but that the player had the right to make a $6 bet. The floor man agreed with the dealer. Later, when the card room manager was asked, he said that the dealer was wrong and that the second player should have been able to make it $7, raising the $1. Who was right? And Why?

Answer 1:

You’ve probably heard this before Chuck, but it all depends. What is the rule of the house about all-in bets that determines if it is considered a bet or not? At the Shoe inLas Vegasit is considered a bet if the amount is at least half or more. If that’s the rule in the house you were playing, then the $1 all-in bet is half the bet (minimum bet is $2 right?). The next player can 1) fold 2) call 3) call the $1 and raise it 2,3,4,5,or 6 more. So the $7 that the raiser put out there seems correct. He could have put $6 out there and still been correct too.

Answer 2:

The card room manager. The first player is not raising. He’s calling a $2 blind with a $1 bet. Therefore the current bet is $2, and the next player is raising the blind, not the $1 bet. A bet of $7 here is a legal $5 raise of the $2 blind. The exception would be if all bets and raises other than all-ins must be in $2 multiples, which is sometimes the case in these games. In this situation, the raiser could raise to either $6 or $8, but not $7.

Answer 3:

It’s a 2-6 game. The min bet is 2. The 1 is 1/2 that. 1/2 the min bet is a bet and can be raised. The raise stands, make it 7. The error the dealer made was in thinking that the bet size on the flop was 6 (I’m guessing everybody always bets 6 on the flop). The bet size was 2-6.

Masque has a CD-ROM called Casino Game Pak that has 3 card poker in it. Be sure that you have the new updated version, as they have had a couple different versions out on the market.

Answer 2:

I have the Masque WSOP Deluxe Casino Pak (c) 1996 and it does not have 3 card poker. It has LIR and Caribbean Stud and Pai Gow, but not 3 card. I checked ConJelCo and the version offered looks like the same game and still boasts only 16 games.

My Masque Casino Game Pak CD is (c) 1997, #10114, and is stamped with “Now includes Spanish 21 and Three Card Poker”.

Answer 1:

I just called the Empress and asked for the Poker room. The operator’s answer was that the room was closed down yesterday. She had no further information. A call directly to their room (888-83-POKER) yielded a full voicemail box.

Answer 2:

I just played there on Friday night, and there was no mention at all about them closing the room. On top of that most of the times I’ve been there the room has been full or close to full. Is this a permanent thing?? I’ve always liked there games better than the ones out at Harrah’s or down inJoliet. Also on a side tangent does anyone know about the status of poker out in the new Rosemont casino? I had heard from a player at the Empress that there would be a quite extensive poker facility (o.k. maybe not that lavish, but as good as it can get out here in theMidwest).

Answer 3:

I have heard just the opposite from many people (players) from theChicagoarea that play here in AZ, AND a couple folks involved in the poker scene in theMidwest. IF that property opens…the odds of a poker rooms being included are slim to none. Just what i have heard, but you know how that is. Don’t know till it happens.

A hand situation came up recently that I’ve been thinking about, and I’d like to get feedback on how you like the way I played it, or how you might have played it… especially the no limit players and tournament regulars… No limit hold’em satellite at the Horseshoe. Everyone starts with T4000, blinds start at 15-30. Button starts at seat 1, and I’ve drawn seat 10, so I have good position. First hand is over fast to a pre-flop raise. Second hand, there’s one early position limper to me, and I look down at AhAd. I make a “standard” type raise of 100, making it 130 to go. Everyone passes to the big blind, who re-raises me 200, making it 330 to go. The limper folds. I don’t know the big blind player, never seen him before. I decide to re-raise him another 2000. If he calls, we’ll both have 2330 in the pot, and 1670 left in our stacks. After some deliberation, he calls. The flop comes Q-Q-x. He moves all in. I decide to call. My questions are:

1. Do you like my re-raise of T2000? If not, how do you respond to his raise to T330?

2. After he moves in on the flop, do you call? Why or why not?

Answer 1:

The answer to the first question is that, “I like the re-raise”. And the answer to the second question is that; as always it depends, I think if it is a good player, I would call, because a good player would not have called your $2000 raise unless he had at least AK or KK, if somebody you do not know, then it is tough, although I would be still be inclined to call his bet, my thinking is what would he have possibly had to call your 2K bet, and he was afraid of an Ace hitting and when it didn’t he moved in.

Answer 2:

The answer to the first question is that. “good raise he has to make a bad call with over half his chips”. The response to the second question is that, calling 1670 to win 6375; what does he have and why would he bet, it is only a satellite… KQ AQ QJ are possible I say knowing what you know you have to call you will lose half the time but you won’t get any more money for 9th place.

Answer 3:

I’d like to think I’d have played the hand exactly like you did. Can’t lay it down after you both put so much in before the flop and he is apt to show you anything( but unlikely a Q.) Take a chance to double up rather than be crippled the rest of the way.
